This used Springfield XD-40 Mod.2 Sub-Compact in .40 S&W is a hard-hitting little carry gun that brings Springfield’s updated Grip Zone ergonomics and bright fiber-optic front sight to the classic XD platform, built on a lightweight black polymer frame with a forged steel slide and a 3" Melonite-treated barrel riding on a striker-fired, short-recoil action. Chambered in .40 S&W and designed around double-stack magazines, it carries 9+1 rounds with the flush-fit mag and 12+1 with the extended X-Tension mag, giving you serious defensive capacity in a very compact footprint with an overall length of about 6.25", height around 4.75" with the flush mag, a slim 1.2" grip width, and an unloaded weight of roughly 26 oz that’s easy to conceal yet heavy enough to tame the snappier .40 recoil. Manufactured in Croatia by HS Produkt and imported by Springfield Armory USA, this XD-40 Mod.2 layers on safety features including a grip safety, trigger safety, and internal striker block, while the aggressive texturing locks the pistol into your hand when it’s time to go to work; this example shows normal cosmetic holster and handling wear from carry and use but remains mechanically solid, making it an excellent option if you want a compact, high-capacity .40 with proven XD reliability at an attractive used-gun price.
